Senselet, the Ethiopian producer of high quality potato crisps, has expanded its current product portfolio by introducing two new flavours to the market: Tomato and Beef. The product launch will be supported by an advertising and marketing campaign at scale in Addis Ababa.
Senselet is the leading potato crisps company in Ethiopia and its products are available in the countries’ major cities. The introduction of the new flavours complements the existing Natural, Paprika and Habesha Spice products that all are available in three different pack sizes.
The company sources potato from local smallholder farmers and strives to improve livelihoods and build a more stable potato value chain on the back of a modern processing facility that has been equipped with machinery from leading Dutch manufacturers.
Veris Investments has finalised construction of the greenfield processing facilities in 2018 and soon thereafter commenced roll-out of its commercial strategy. After rapid growth during 2018 and 2019, PepsiCo has joined Veris Investments as a shareholder in December 2019.
