Juliette is CEO and Co-Head of Investments at Veris and set-up Veris together with Michiel Botman. Juliette is the investment lead for the investments in Yalelo Zambia, Holland Dairy, Mapinga Food Processing and Senselet Food Processing (exit to Pepsico in 2022). Prior to Veris, Juliette worked at FMO, the Dutch Development Bank, and as an M&A lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Amsterdam and London. Juliette holds an MSc in Law from the University of Utrecht and has passed CFA exams level 1 and 2.

Michiel is CFRO and Co-head of Investments at Veris and set-up Veris together with Juliette de Wijkerslooth. Michiel is the investment lead for the investments in Yalelo Uganda and Aller Aqua Zambia and has also been involved in various stages of investments in other companies in Veris’ portfolio. Prior to Veris, Michiel was a senior investment officer at FMO’s private equity team, with a focus on Africa. Earlier work experience includes BNP Paribas, PWC, IBM and African infrastructure fund manager AIIM. Michiel holds an MSc. in Business Economics from the University of Amsterdam.

Ludo is Investment Manager at Veris. He is mainly involved in developing and growing Mapinga Premium Foods, a greenfield FMCG company in Tanzania that launched in the market in 2024, and screening and developing new investment opportunities. Ludo enjoys working with local teams to turn the region's vast potential into sustainable value. Prior to working at Veris he was a strategy consultant at Bain & Company. He holds a Master in Finance from the University of Amsterdam and a Master in Conflict Studies from the University of Utrecht.

Allard is Investment Manager at Veris. Allard is mainly focused on further growing Holland Dairy and Mapinga Premium Foods, a greenfield FMCG company in Tanzania, that launched in the market in 2024. Before joining Veris, Allard worked as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company. He was part of RTS (Reset, Transform, Sustain), a special unit of McKinsey that works to transform the performance, health and capabilities of client organisations. Allard holds a Master in Construction Management & Engineering from Delft University of Technology.

José is Investment Manager at Veris. José is mainly involved in further growing Yalelo Zambia and developing new opportunities. José combines her experience in private equity at HAL Investments with operational experience at Sandvik and Adyen where she developed and implemented strategic pricing and commercial analytics programs. José holds a Master degree in Econometrics from the University of Amsterdam.

Jochem is Senior Associate at Veris. He is mainly involved in further growing Yalelo Uganda and Aller Aqua Zambia. Before joining Veris he worked as a strategy consultant both at SparkOptimus and independently. Jochem combines his experience from working in South-Africa with his knowledge about digital strategy & implementation. Jochem holds a master in theoretical physics from the University of Amsterdam.

Rikus is Associate at Veris. Rikus is involved in various portfolio companies and new opportunities, leveraging his engineering background and strategic skills. Before joining Veris, Rikus worked as a strategy consultant at Roland Berger. He worked with clients across a diverse set of industries and projects, including transport, sustainable energy, operational excellence, and M&A. He holds a master in Hydraulic Engineering from Delft University of Technology.

Before joining Veris, Raj worked as a strategy consultant at McKinsey and Co. based in Nairobi, Kenya. There, he worked to support Africa’s largest governments, philanthropies, foundations and companies to address critical challenges. Examples include developing a contintental carbon markets initiative, scaling affordable energy access to East Africa, and developing an emergency fertilizer input program in the wake of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Prior to this, Raj worked at a large Ugandan horticulture agribusiness producing roses and herbs for global export, managing strategy and operations. He holds a Bachelors of Arts (Economics and Political Science) at McGill University in Montreal.

Hawi is an Associate at Veris. He is involved in various portfolio companies and exploring new opportunities across sub-Saharan Africa. Hawi previously worked as a consultant at Deloitte’s valuations and modelling team based in Amsterdam. There, he leveraged his financial modelling and M&A experience for energy, telecommunications, consumer goods, healthcare, and real estate clients. He holds a Master Degree in Strategic Management from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Ruben is Finance Director at Veris and provides hands-on finance and tax support to the portfolio companies. He is involved in both the greenfield projects as well as growth businesses and uses his M&A transaction experience to improve the reporting and control functions and to further professionalize the organizations. Before joining Veris, Ruben was Manager Transaction Services at KPMG Advisory. Ruben holds a Master in Finance from the University of Groningen in The Netherlands and is an International Chartered Certified Accountant.

Sanne is a Business Controller at Veris, providing financial support to both the portfolio companies and Veris itself. Prior to joining Veris, Sanne worked in M&A at Deloitte, focusing on business transactions and valuations of Dutch small and medium-sized companies. She holds a Master Degree in Finance & Investments from the Rotterdam School of Management.

Annemiek is Head of HR at Veris. Previously she worked as a manager in the international People in Deals practice at PwC, advising on the people side of M&A as well as broader HR transformations. Annemiek holds a Master in Business Administration with a focus on Strategy and a Master in Organisational Psychology from the University of Amsterdam.

Maxime is the Legal Counsel at Veris Investments, bringing extensive experience in corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, and financial transactions. With a strong background in corporate and strategic legal advisory, she supports Veris and its portfolio companies in legal and business affairs. Prior to joining Veris, Maxime held senior legal roles at S4 Capital Plc and Loyens & Loeff, specialising in international M&A, private equity, and governance. She holds a Master in Corporate Law from the University of Amsterdam and an Associate’s Degree from the Law Firm School.

Ela is Office Manager & Executive Assistant at Veris, where she plays a key role in ensuring the smooth running of office operations and providing executive support to the Managing Director. She combines 20 years of experience in private equity at H2 Equity Partners with expertise in office operations, events, HR, and marketing, gained at Tempo-Team Topflex, Ostrica, and Athora. Ela holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and from the Hotel Management School in Poland.
