Juliette de Wijkerslooth
Juliette is managing director and set up Veris Investments together with Michiel Botman. Juliette is the investment lead for the investments in Senselet Food Processing (successful exit to Pepsico in 2022), Holland Dairy and Mapinga Food Processing and is also involved in the companies that are part of the FirstWave Aquaculture Platform. Prior to Veris, Juliette worked at FMO, the Dutch Development Bank, and as an M&A lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Amsterdam and London. Juliette holds an MSc in Law from the University of Utrecht and has passed CFA exams level 1 and 2.
Michiel is managing director and set up Veris Investments together with Juliette de Wijkerslooth. Michiel is the investment lead for the investments in the companies that are part of the FirstWave Aquaculture Platform: Yalelo Zambia and Uganda and Aller Aqua Zambia and has also been involved in various stages of investments in Senselet and Holland Dairy. Prior to Veris, Michiel was a senior investment officer at FMO’s private equity team, with a focus on Africa. Earlier work experience includes BNP Paribas, PWC, IBM and African infrastructure fund manager AIIM. Michiel holds an MSc. In Business Economics from the University of Amsterdam.
Senior Investment Manager
Jelmer is senior investment manager at Veris and has previously been involved in numerous international transactions – on top of enjoying line management responsibility – at The Heineken Company before joining Veris in 2018. Deal experience includes acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, restructurings and capital raises in both developed and emerging markets. He started his career in investment banking at Fortis MeesPierson. Within the Veris portfolio he focusses on commercial strategy and supports management in execution thereof. He has been involved in the successful exit of Senselet Food Processing to PepsiCo and is hands-on involved with Veris’ investment in Yalelo Uganda. Jelmer is an engineer by education and holds a MSc in Industrial Engineering & Management from the University of Twente.
Ludo van Lanschot
Ludo is Investment Manager at Veris and joined the company in 2019. Prior to working at Veris he was a strategy consultant at Bain & Company. At Veris Ludo enjoys working with local teams to turn the region's vast potential into sustainable value. He is mainly involved in developing Mapinga Premium Foods, a greenfield company in Tanzania. The team is looking forward to Mapinga’s product launch on the Tanzanian market! He holds a Master in Business Economics from the University of Amsterdam and a Master in Conflict Studies from the University of Utrecht.
Jan-Bas van Riel
Jan-Bas is an Investment Manager and joined Veris in 2021. Previously, he advised on international M&A and capital market transactions for R.W. Baird in London and for J.P. Morgan in Amsterdam. Jan-Bas works together with management on strategic and operational projects at Holland Dairy, Yalelo Zambia and Aller Aqua Zambia regarding various aspects of the business including commercial, production and logistics. Jan-Bas holds a Master in Financial Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Master in Corporate Law from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
Allard de Stoppelaar
Allard is an Investment Manager at Veris Investments. Before joining Veris, Allard worked as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company. He was part of RTS (Reset, Transform, Sustain), a special unit of McKinsey that works to transform the performance, health and capabilities of client organisations. At Veris, Allard is mainly focused on developing Mapinga Premium Foods, a greenfield FMCG company in Tanzania. After working for one year in Uganda, his knowledge of the region deepened. He is using this experience in his current project, bringing together his strategic and practical skills. Allard holds a Master in Construction Management & Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
Ruben is finance manager at Veris and provides hands-on finance and tax support to the portfolio companies. Before joining Veris, Ruben was Manager Transaction Services at KPMG Advisory. He is involved in both the greenfield projects as well as growth businesses and uses his M&A transaction experience to improve the reporting and control functions and to further professionalize the organizations. Ruben holds a Master in Finance from the University of Groningen in The Netherlands and is an International Chartered Certified Accountant.
Patricia van den Ende
Patricia joined Veris as legal counsel in 2019. Patricia is mainly experienced in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and contracting law. Patricia previously worked, among others, as legal counsel of a Dutch private equity firm, and as M&A lawyer at Stibbe in Amsterdam. Patricia has been involved in various stages of the investments in Senselet, Holland Dairy and the FirstWave Aquaculture Platform. Patricia holds an LLM in Law from the University of Leiden.
Head of HR
Annemiek joined Veris in 2023 as Head of HR. Previously she worked as a manager in the international People in Deals practice at PwC, advising on the people side of M&A as well as broader HR transformations. Annemiek holds a Master in Business Administration with a focus on Strategy and a Master in Organisational Psychology from the University of Amsterdam.
Lelena is the Office Manager and joined Veris in May 2023. She moved to the Netherlands two years ago from Ethiopia, where she worked in office management and an extensive multilateral affair; advocating humanitarian aid, economic & national self-reliance and sustainable development at the Swiss development cooperation, Personal assistant to the Head of Mission at the Embassy of Switzerland, Visa officer – Consular section and Executive assistant to the Defense Attaché.
